As my third day as a photo intern at The Chattanooga Times Free Press, I was sent to illustrate the first day of winter, which is Saturday. Supposedly the weather has been unseasonably warm. It was about 55 degrees F today, though one of those bank marquees said 59.
I fiddled with and failed at a handful of ideas, went out a second time, and found these two.

Julian Biziewski, left, 19 and Hannah Whittingham, 19, or Sacramento, Calif. wait for a bus with their dogs Jinx, left, and Carlo on the corner of Market and West 7th Streets Friday. Saturday is the first day of winter and the temperature is expected to be unseasonably warm, with a high in the low 60s.
They traveled here from Sacramento via hitchhiking and a few train rides, and they said they are looking for a place to live. Winter? Ok, they are bundled up.
