I shot a Salvation Army Sunrise Easter service in the Chattanooga National Cemetery today. It is dark at sunrise in March. Who knew?
The first photos in my take were shot at 2000 ISO, some higher, but those I didn’t publish. The sky lightened pretty rapidly and an hour later I was at 400 ISO.
But for 2000 ISO, with the main light coming from the spotlights that illuminate the American and POW/MIA flags, my camera did pretty well.
See the rest here on the Times Free Press Web site.
And one that didn’t run but I like:
Percussionist Scott Gray warms his hands on one of the spotlights before performing with Jericho Brass while ectoplasm, AKA lens filter refraction, drips out of the light.

Love the angle and the way the sunrise is coming up behind the percussionist who is being lit from underneath.
